Let's have a watermelon party!
Everyone loves a party! What's more fun than a watermelon party? Throw some red tablecloths on your tables outside. Then, since you know that you'll be using some watermelons, keep a couple of the hollowed-out shells as easy centerpieces and put a few pretty fresh red flowers inside them. Then, get some red and green balloons and draw the black watermelon seeds on the red ones with a Sharpie marker. Your decorations are done!

Watermelon Glaze for Grilled Chicken
Melt a 12 oz jar of apple jelly in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Add the juice from 1 small lime and lime zest and also 1 cup of watermelon juice. Stir in a pinch of salt, 1 tsp hot sauce, and 2 tsp crushed red pepper. Blend and taste. Remove from heat and adjust spices as desired. Use the glaze warm.
Salad with watermelon and feta cheese: This cool salad is ideal for summer. Your guests will be impressed by the flavorful mixture of juicy watermelon, salty feta cheese, and fresh mint. Just slice up some watermelon, put some feta and chopped mint on top. For a taste boost, drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Watermelon Sorbet: This treat is simple to prepare and is delicious and cooling on hot summer days. Juice from a lemon, sugar, and fresh watermelon should all be blended together. Then, freeze it in an ice cream maker as directed by the manufacturer. For more taste, garnish with lime or fresh mint.
Watermelon Lime Aqua Fresca: For a cool and refreshing drink, blend 2 1/2 cups watermelon, juice from 1 lime, and 4 cups of water together. Serve over ice with a watermelon and lime garnish. Adding sugar is optional.
Watermelon Pizza: Cut a 1-inch full round slice off of the watermelon. Then, cut it into equal triangle slices to resemble a pizza. Top the slices with yogurt and toppings of choice. Suggestions: different berries, slivered almonds, shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips

Have the kids bowl with tiny watermelons! Use several empty Pringles cans wrapped in paper with a watermelon theme or color.
If you're lucky enough to have a pool, grease a watermelon with vegetable oil or baby oil and throw it into the pool. Then divide into two teams and see who can keep ahold of the watermelon the longest!

Create a small obstacle course with things that a watermelon can be rolled around (folding chairs, pool noodles, outdoor furniture, etc.). Then take turns seeing who is the fastest at rolling the watermelon through the course.
Party Favors
Purchase small inexpensive plain red buckets and glue a light green ribbon around the top, then tie on a bow. Color black watermelon seeds onto the bucket with a black Sharpie marker. Fill the bucket with watermelon-flavored candy like Jolly Ranchers, Sour Patch Kids, Now and Laters, lollipops, Haribo watermelon gummies, and Jelly Bellies.
